If Tiger Woods, for example, finishes a round with exactly 72 shots, then he is par for the course. This doesnt happen a lot, actually. More often, it would be like 68 or 69 for Tiger thats 4 under par, or 4 or 3 shots below better than average. You the novice may finish the same course with 100 shots. That will be 28 over par. Its good exercise for taking a walk on the grass any day, but that kind of score is clearly not going to get you in the same neighborhood, or universe, with good golfers, let alone Tiger.

The whole deal pleased CDRs higher ups. I went to Stewart Wolmark and told him that not only did Steve Goldberg win but that I was able to reduce his rate down four basis points, said Doug Goldberg. Stewart was very happy and excited. Over and over again, jurors heard cooperating witnesses translate the damning audiotapes. In one lurid sequence, the bat eared, bespectacled CDR broker Evan Zarefsky explained how he helped the GE defendant Peter Grimm win a bid for a bond put out by the Utah Housing Authority. The pair had apparently reamed Utah so many times that it had become a sort of inside joke between the two of them. From a call in August 2001:Grimm complains about how much hell have to pay to win the deal. These levels are really shitty, he says. From there, Grimm rattles off numbers, ultimately settling on a bid of 351 3. 51 percent. Zarefsky, in almost motherly fashion, guides the manic Grimm downward, telling him, in code, that his bid is 10 basis points too high.

Lawyers, journalists, and members of the public are welcome to start here when beginning research about the Pennsylvania Constitution, Pennsylvania constitutional law cases pending in various courts, and current public policy debates concerning the State Constitution. There are relatively few Web sites dedicated solely to an analysis and presentation of a particular States constitutional law and court decisions. All too often, state constitutions are overlooked and their true importance to the administration of state law under appreciated. At the time of the creation of this site, there were virtually no current and accurate copies of the Pennsylvania Constitution available on the Internet. Amendments and court decisions that had altered the state constitution in some way were not always reflected in current written or on line sites, even those that were produced by the Pennsylvania State government. As Pennsylvania voters occasionally amend the State constitution, and as court decisions clarify, modify, or even strike down provisions and amendments of that constitution, we will try our best to keep current with those changes and post them here. This site also contains reports of State and federal court decisions impacting the Pennsylvania Constitution, citations of law review articles, news items relating to the Pennsylvania Constitution and commentary and analysis about court decisions that affect interpretation and application of the State constitution. The Co Directors wish to thank the following organizations and people for their contributions to this project. The Pennsylvania Bar Trust Fund gave $3,000 towards the digitization of the 1967 1968 Constitutional Convention materials. With the assistance of Senator Jay Costa, Jr. , the Duquesne Law School received a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development grant of $15,000 to digitize the remaining constitutional convention materials, secondary sources, and have the web site redesigned.
